Educational Requirements: Master's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, Communications or related discipline
Desirable Qualifications: 1. Prior experience in communications/journalism. Candidates with strong familiarity with the Indian and global environment media landscape and experience in development communication would be preferred
2. Outstanding verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills
3. Strong editorial eye and proofing skills. Ability to convey message and image through written, visual and oral communication
4. Should be an enthusiast, meticulous and action-oriented
5. Should be a team player and a master in utilizing limited resources for optimum outcome
6. Should be high on ideation and have thorough working knowledge of all modes of communication
7. Ability to work under tight time-frames 8. Ability to multitask on need basis
Responsibilities / Job Description: 1. Conceptualize, develop and package various information materials on TERI University's work for communications and/or advocacy purposes
2. Write and disseminate Media Releases, Articles, Editorials, etc.
3. Document learning and successes of all projects for publication and wider dissemination
4. Create, Copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications, for outreach purposes
5. Manage and build relationships with key media houses
6. Deal with agencies and vendors on behalf of the University for purpose of international & national outreach functions, social media activities, print and electronics campaigns etc
7. Maintain, at all times, a deep understanding of organization's work, vision, mission, objectives and research work 8. Any other task assigned by the Head (Outreach)
