Placement Coordinator

Responsibilities:

i) To support the Field Coordinators and team in the planning and Preparation of work placements.

ii) To organize work placements and support students in the work placement process.

iii) To organize and attend placement visits to monitor the progress of students, and deal effectively with any issues/concerns that arise. iv) To assist with briefing meetings on a group and individual basis with students and other staff of the center so that they understand the work placement process, the level of support available and are fully equipped to undertake a successful work placement.

v) To assist in the distribution of relevant documentation to providers concerning work placement.

vi) To assist in the development and maintenance of a database of appropriate employer and commercial/industrial links. vii) To assist with work placement correspondence and telephone enquiries internally and externally.

viii) To help monitor the progress of work placement throughout the college/ center in liaison with the Field Co-ordinator. ix) To communicate effectively with the Field Co-ordinator and appropriate team members. x) Ensure one guest lecture per trade per month. xi) If gaps in training as per the placement requirements intimate the Domain Expert /Field Coordinator. xii) To cover for the Field coordinator at appropriate industry meetings when necessary. xiii) Involving in mobilization activity during the initiation of centers xiv) Identifying industries/companies for placement of youth xv) Orienting the industry on the programme xvi) Providing and discussing the curriculum taught and the awareness levels of the trainee. xvii) Developing a data base of industries visited every week
Education Requirements: Two-year full time Post graduate diploma in Management (HR or Marketing) / MBA (HR or Marketing) from any recognized university with 5-8 years Industry / institutional experience in a variety of different programs – leading people and projects, interfacing with industry and governments and other entities, experience in vocational training, etc. OR Retired defense Personnel

Desirable Qualifications:

i) Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic planning skills.

ii) Excellent interpersonal and managerial/supervisory skills.

iii) Experience of handling IT Service Management/Operations

iv) Willingness to Travel extensively. v) Experience of handling MS Project (or equivalent), MS Office Tools (Power point, Excel, Word).
