Junior Project Fellow (JPF) - M. Sc. in Zoology & Various

Pay scale ( वेतन ) : @ Rs.16, 000/- + HRA @ 24 % or Minimum HRA @ Rs.5,400/- for first two years and Rs.18,000/- + HRA @ 24% or Minimum HRA @ Rs.5,400/- for 3rd year

Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : M. Sc. in Zoology/Life Sciences/or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University

Experience requirements ( अनुभव ) : Desirable Experience: Experience/ knowledge/ interest on field data collection/ Bioinformatics/ Taxonomy/ Molecular Phylogeny/ Ecology/ GIS/ Climate change/ Computer and statistical analysis.

Job responsibilities / description ( उत्तरदायित्व) : Extensive field surveys are to be conducted in Himalayan region of three states of North East India (Sikkim, West Bengal & Arunachal Pradesh) for the collection and study of moths pollinating different floral components.  Recording of field observations on moths visiting different flowering plants.  Laboratory Work: Identification of moths and pollens. Dissections, Slide preparations and photography of different moths and pollens.  Preparation of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual progress reports of the projects.
