Educational Requirements: Must have passed 10th Std.
Desirable Qualifications: Possession of a valid driving licence to drive two wheelers. Must hold a clean and valid driving licence to drive Light and Heavy Vehicle. Ability to read and fill up routine forms in English/Hindi, desirable.
Experience Requirements: Consolidated experience in driving a light and Heavy vehicle for at least 3 years.
Desired Skills: Should possess knowledge of motor mechanism :- He should be able to attend to minor repairs of petrol and diesel driven vehicles such as the following :- a) General day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle b) Tyre, battery maintenance and lubrication of vehicle c) Accelerators, brake, clutch pedal and fan belt adjustments d) Removal of air lock and oil block e) Engine tune up, brake adjustments, wheel alignment and observation of dash board meters

In case, the response is more, this Research Centre reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the written examination by short-listing the candidates on the basis of longer experience in Driving Light/Heavy Vehicles, Ex-Servicemen (Drivers from Defence Services). The decision of the Research Centre will be final and binding.
ii. The candidates will be given option to answer the questions in written test either in HINDI or ENGLISH. iii. The vacancies shown above are provisional and subject to variation. The filling up of vacancies indicated in the advertisement is also subject to the approval of Competent Authority and may not be filled up if decided otherwise in terms of the orders issued by Government from time to time.
iv. The nature of duties to be performed by the above categories involves working in round-the-clock shift duties, in operational plants and areas. v. The eligibility criteria including the period of experience as prescribed in the advertisement will be determined with reference to the last date of receipt of applications (as applicable).
vi. Candidates may ensure that they fill in the correct information. Candidates who furnish false information will be disqualified for written test. BARC further reserves the right to reject the candidature of any applicant at any stage. vii. BARC reserves the right to fill up the post or even to cancel/ restrict/ modify / alter the whole process of recruitment without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof.

Candidates working under the Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies etc., after the submission of the Online application, should submit the hard copy of the application routed through proper channel to Deputy Establishment Officer, Recruitment –III, Central Complex, BARC, Trombay, Mumbai -400 085. They are also required to submit “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” at the time of written test and driving test failing which, they will not be allowed to appear for the tests.
